
Eva Jacqueline Longoria is an American television actress who was born March 15, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the youngest of four girls born to Mexican-American parents, and was raised Roman Catholic. She attended Texas A&M University, and obtained a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, and later earned her master's degree in Chicano Studies at California State University.
Eva Longoria got her start in acting in 1999, hosting the television show, "LA in A Day," after which she made guest appearances on several popular shows of the time. Her big break was when she was cast as one of the Desperate Housewives in the critically acclaimed TV show of the early 2000s.
Eva Longoria has not only enjoyed fame and celebrity for her acting; she has also contracted with fashion houses, L'Oréal Paris and Hanes, beer producer; Heineken, and has done work for London Fog.
As a L'Oréal Paris brand ambassador, Eva has attended many star-studded events, including the Cannes Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film festivals on earth. She is always a great source of hair and beauty inspiration and can often be seen sporting ultra-chic and very covetable looks on the red carpet.
Along with her acting career, Eva Longoria is also involved in philanthropy, helping children with disabilities. She has been named Philanthropist of the Year for her devoted activities to helping Latin minorities. She is an avowed Democrat, speaking at the Democratic Convention on behalf of Barack Obama.
