I am a 26 year old male with long wavy hair. I've tried Brylcreem and Gel, but it is always curly, frizzy and out of control. Someone told me about Pomade and I have tried using it as directed, but its not working. I've tried spreading cream all over my hair and now I have even more curls. I just want straight, manageable hair. Any tips?![]() |

To keep curly hair in great condition and to eliminate frizz, you should always use moisturizing products. READ MORE ABOUT MAINTAINING HEALTHY CURLY HAIR! For guys, one of the best ways to maintain curly hair is to keep it short. However, if you prefer long hair there are a few things you can do to keep it manageable. REGULAR HAIR CUTSMake sure you have regular hair cuts. Ask the hairdresser to remove the excess bulk of your hair. This should help keep your hair "leaner" and not so full and fluffy. WAYS TO STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIRYou can either get it professionally straightened or can straighten it yourself with a straightening iron or blow dry it straight. There are lots of straightening lotions, serums and balms available, which can be used in conjunction with straightening irons or hairdryers. These straightening products unfortunately don't work by themselves- they only straighten your hair when used with a hairdryer or flat iron. I know what you're probably thinking- "I'm a guy! I can't use a straightening iron!?" Just because you're male doesn't mean you can't have the hair style you want! You might be surprised to know that more and more guys ARE using styling tools. Mini Flat Irons are perfect for mens hair. The smaller plates (1.5 inch or smaller) are ideal for shorter hair and mens hair. I have short hair and I find straightening irons much easier to use then trying to blow dry my hair straight. They just take a little practice! |
