Zoe Saldana's hair: a week in the life
From the article : Zoe Saldana's hair: a week in the life
Zoe Saldana has had a busy week and so has her hair! Flitting between red carpets, radio interviews and an appearance on Tonight With Jimmy Fallon, the L'Oréal Paris spokesperson has been running ever faster on the publicity treadmill in support of her latest project, Rosemary's Baby. The NBC miniseries tells the story of a woman who moves to Paris with her husband to pursue a better life before things take a sinister turn when she falls pregnant.
With so many places to be and people to talk to, Zoe's hair had no choice but to keep up, especially after she set the bar so high at the Met Gala!
We weren't so much surprised by the Guardians of the Galaxy star's ability to appear perfectly coiffed at every turn as we were impressed by it. Sure, she's a big movie star and the newest face of the world's biggest beauty brand, but still... that's some good work right there.
Above, you can see – and get inspired by – Zoe Saldana's best hairstyles this week. From fashion's glitziest event of the year to a more casual chat on SiriusXM, she covered everything from super formal to relaxed weekend chic. Well, we're never going to beat her so we may as well join her, right?
Less is more
If we've learnt one thing about Zoe's approach to beauty, it's that she knows how to work what she's got. Her hairstyles are never ostentatious or in any way overdone. She tends to stick with simple chignons and understated waves, presumably because both styles look so good on her, whatever she's doing!
The good news for us is that both are pretty easy to imitate...
Make some waves: To style Zoe's loose waves, all you have to do is part your hair to one side – roughly level with the eyebrow arch on your chosen side – then curl your hair with a medium-barrel curling iron. Mist with Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Strand-Smoother Serum Spray for a high-shine finish then fix with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray.
Pin-up: Creating a low-key chignon is a whole lot easier than it looks. If you're short on time, gather your hair back into a low pony, only when you pull the hair through the elastic for the last time, only pull it out 1/3 of the way. Pin the resulting loop of hair against your head and arrange the ends to add detail. Tease some small sections of hair loose at the front to frame your face then finish with a mist of Bold Control Hairspray.
