Windswept hair and well-groomed styles go hand in hand. In fact, you might say a windswept look was really just a feathery version of a groomed style anyway... which it literally is when you look closely. Anyway, whatever it is, it looks good and helps to add interest to any look – formal or casual – thanks to its slightly a-symmetrical silhouette.
This is the kind of hairstyle that can take you anywhere and can be teamed with any attire. In short, it's versatile.
Get the look
There's more going on with this hairstyle than immediately meets the eye. The sweep of the hair on top is clearly the main focal point, but if you look closely, you can see a slick undercut effect, too.
Step one: Warm a small amount of Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Hyper Fix Putty in your hands then run it back through your hair. Start with the hair on top, then work your way down through the sides.
Step two: Part your hair to one side – whichever one you like the most/showcases your 'best' side - using a comb, then firmly smooth down the sides and back. This will help to create the sharp, faux-undercut effect you can see in the photo above.
Step three: To build height on top, massage the roots with your fingertips then lift the hair with a comb. Sweep it all over to one side and use your hands to sculpt as necessary.
Step four: With a little more putty, flatten the sides and back of your hair again before double checking the back. That's it!
