Happy New Year! You might have decided to make this upcoming year all about healthy eating or kicking some bad habits, but may we suggest another few resolutions that you could add to your list? Here are our top five hair resolutions for 2016! Will you be taking up the challenge?
1. Treat it right
We don't always have the time, but our hair really does deserve to be treated with care. By adding five minutes to your Sunday shower and applying a deep conditioning mask, and never brushing your hair when wet, you'll really notice the difference.
2. Regular salon visits
To keep your hair in great shape, it isn't enough just to give it the right nutrition, it needs regular trims to stay healthy-looking, especially if you have layers cut in. Just a few centimeters trimmed off every couple of months will really make a difference, and can even help with growing your hair out.
3. Dare a new color
Be brave and look to the red carpet or the runway for some hair color inspiration! It doesn't mean you have to go wild and wacky - bronde is a super subtle shade that celebrities are crazy about right now, or the braver among you might want to warm up winter with a rich red hue...
4. Try different styles
If you're happy with your color, why not start playing with your cut or style? By simply changing your part, for example, you can totally change your look. Used to wearing low, messy chignons? Try a chic high ponytail or boxer braids depending on your day. Your options are endless!
A cute sparkly clip or delicate ribbon can really add some extra pizzazz to a regular hairstyle, and is also a way to incorporate fashion trends into your look.
