When styling your hair for a party, there are a few things you probably want to achieve. First of all, you need your hair to look good with your outfit/makeup/accessories. Secondly, you need a style that can last all night, without an explosion of flyaways or the whole thing just falling out when you hit the dance floor. Behold, a hairstyle that can do both! This simple braided hairstyle with mixed dry and wet-effect textures is just perfect for a night out.
This look was rinsed and repeated on a few different Spring 2014 runways so, if you do decide to try this style, you hair will be right on-trend. Not only that, it's a 'do that is really easy to, well, do, AND you don't have to have freshly washed hair for it to work either.
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Iron Straight Heatspray
Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Deconstructing Gum
Step one: Apply Iron Straight Heatspray evenly from roots to ends and straighten your hair with a flat iron. This will create the smooth, sleek texture the model has.
Step two: On one side, take a two-inch section of hair, or slightly smaller, from just above your ear and braid it all the way down, securing with a hair elastic at the ends. Make sure you make the braid a little way back from your hairline so it can be tucked behind your ear, and a few smaller strands can be swept back over it later on.
Step three: Warm some Deconstructing Gum in your hands and then sweep it back through the top of your hair. Run a wide-tooth comb through it to help smooth it into place.
Step four: Push the wet-look hair back as if you were going to tuck it behind your ears. Secure it with a bobby pin on each side and you're done!
Told you it was easy...
