The roaring twenties have gone down in history as one of the most stylish decades since the dawn of time, with an enduring influence that can be credited for the rise in 'Boardwalk Empire' cuts (read: undercuts that don't scare people out of getting them) and clean, slick styles in general. One iconic 1920s look that we really love is this high-shine middle part.
This style screams vintage sophistication and looks great with a cocktail in hand. It's also very easy to bring the look right up to date by toning down the slickness in favor of a more low-shine finish.
Get the look
Step 1
Starting with wet hair, comb it through, then part it in the middle or sightly off center. Use a tail comb to trace an accurate line, then comb the hair on either side to fix the part in place.
Top tip - Apply L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Inject Mousse and blow-dry before styling to get a fuller, thicker-looking style.
Step 2
Warm a small amount of L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Hyper Fix Putty in your hands then work it back through your hair. The exact amount you need depends on how thick your hair is, so start small and add more as necessary.
Step 3
Comb your hair through for a sleek finish and smooth down the back and sides to complete the look.
FYI - the putty won't dry hard so you can re-shape if necessary throughout the day/night.
