There are many vintage hairstyles that can often be spotted on both the red carpet and the runway year after year. Two such classic looks are Hollywood waves and bouffant ponytails.
The question is, which retro 'do would you be more likely to try?
Hollywood waves
Potentially the most glamorous hairstyle that ever was, side-swept Hollywood waves have been trending in Tinseltown for the best part of a century, and it's not hard to see why. This hairstyle is polished, full of movement and it can make anyone look a little bit sexier.
Styling tip
To create waves that really last, pool each piece of hair in the palm of your hand when it comes off the curling iron, quickly spray it with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Fine Control Hairspray and clip it up to cool. When all the hair has cooled, unclip the curls and gently brush them through.
Bouffant ponytail
We just can't get enough of this mod classic, perhaps because it's the best excuse to go completely wild with winged eyeliner. A bouffant ponytail has a really interesting silhouette, it looks gorgeous with or without accessories, and it's generally just a lot of fun to style and wear!
Styling tip
To make styling the bouffant as easy as possible, spray the roots with Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray before backcombing.
