Getting a short haircut can be really intimidating, especially if you've had a long hairstyle for some time. To help gauge whether it's the right move, we reccomend trying a faux short cut, just to see how it feels. This sleek style is a great place to start because it allows you to play around with bangs, too!
To get the look, just follow the tutorial below.
How to style it
Starting with dry hair, brush it through to detangle. You don't need to wash your hair first or worry about greasy roots because no one will be able to see them anyway once you're done styling.
Sweep all your hair back off your face and gather it quite tightly at the back. Then, lift and twist the hair to form what looks like a French twist that just exploded. Secure the twist with bobby pins and leave the ends loose at the top.
Use a small amount of Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Clean Style Gel to smooth down the top and sides of your head. You don't need much, just enough to create a subtle sheen.
Rake the loose ends forward with your fingers and arrange them so they fall loosely over your forehead, then secure the hair on top with a few bobby pins.
Use some more gel to five your new faux bangs some extra hold and sweep them into place. You can push them to one side, keep them front and center or part them in the middle, it's totally up to you.
