Ponytails appear effortless but who says they can't be ultra-chic? A sleek, glamorous ponytail with curled ends is ideal for a fun night out. Worn low with a 50's quiff for volume and rockabilly dynamism, it keeps your tresses in place right through the party.
These looks work on long or medium-length hair, of any texture. Best of all, they're easy.
You'll need:
Tail comb
Styling cream or serum
Heat protectant pray
Medium-barreled curling iron
Hair elastic
Bobby pins
Firm-hold hairspray
Step 1
Work some styling cream into dry, well-conditioned hair. Using a tail comb, separate off the top front section and gently backcomb the roots, fixing with hairspray as you go. Sweep into a quiff, secure with bobby pins and hairspray.
Step 2
Spritz your hair with a heat protectant hairspray from mid-shaft down, concentrating on your ends.
Gather into a ponytail and secure with a hair elastic.
Step 3
Roll your hair in two or three big sections around the curling iron and let it set for a couple of seconds on medium heat. Slide each tress off the iron and allow it to cool.
Step 4
Wrap a section of hair from the pony around the hair elastic and fix with a bobby pin. Mist with hairspray and you're all set to rock the party!
