Headbands are such versatile hair accessories that they can even create a hairstyle for you! Introducing the headband updo. This look is perfect for any occasion, any attire and any makeup. Whether you have a wedding to attend, an important meeting to get through or a day spent at the mall with friends, this style won't let you down.

It keeps hair totally under control while simultaneously creating a romantic, pretty finish that can work with all kinds of different textures. It also happens to be a great style for inbetween washes as the headband is less likely to slide around than on super smooth clean hair.

The beautiful thing about this style, apart from the results, is that it's so easy to achieve, you'll wonder why you never tried it before.

What you need:

A headband (you probably saw that one coming...)
Bobby pins
Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray

Step one

Take your chosen headband and pull it down over the crown of your head. If you can feel it sliding back up, secure it with a couple of bobby pins.

Step two

Take a section of hair from the front and wrap it around the headband, pulling out the ends. Take the ends and incorporate them into the next section before wrapping it around the headband, too. Repeat this until you get to the back of your head.

Step three

Repeat step two on the other side of your head until you get to the back on that side, too.

Step four

Wrap the last sections of hair around the headband, just above the nape of your neck, and secure any unwanted loose strands or flyaways with bobby pins. Lock in your style with a generous amount of Bold Control Hairspray and you're good to go!
