Wavy hair just never seems to go out of style and that doesn't bother us one bit! It's a style that looks timeless and natural, with a hint of just-had-a-roll-in-the-hay sexiness, which makes it so wearable and versatile. From easy beach waves to an edgy half hawk, there seems to be a wavy style out there for everyone. Our personal favorite is a retro style.
Bringing the beehive back
The beehive disappeared in the 80's and 90's, but it's making a comeback in a big way. Trend setters like Lana del Rey are making sure this look is revived and we couldn't be more thrilled. This style combines glamour, retro appeal and a lot of attitude. Styled with a pastel dress and everyone will think you're a real lady, but with a leather jacket you might look like the leader of a cool girl gang.
Catching the waves
To get this style, you won't need to know the technique to achieve a full blown beehive, just the right amount of teasing at the root. This will give your waves their "retro" inspiration.
Next, let those waves loose! Follow our easy tutorial to achieve this. Once your waves are ready, you'll need to make sure that your roots are still teased and then spritz with hairspray. Be careful not to go too overboard with the spray, you want to leave your waves with some movement.
