Step one: Starting with dry hair, mist all over with Iron Straight Heatspray and flat iron. Take a look at our damage-free guide to straightening your hair for some extra tips!
Step two: Use a tail comb to define your part – wherever you want, there are no rules! Comb the hair through afterward to fix the part.
Step three: For an ultra-sleek, smooth feel, mist with Strand-Smoother Serum Spray. This will give the hair a cashmere-soft finish.
Step four: Split your hair into two halves and braid each one. The trick to making the braids look slightly more up-to-date than the kind you may have worn as an 8-year-old is keeping them fairly loose. So, don't pull too tight as you braid down the lengths of your hair, just keep folding the strands over each other until you're done.
Step five: After securing each pigtail with a small hair tie, gently pull each braid out a little then spray all over with Bold Control Hairspray.
