Festival season is a glorious time full of great music, great memories and great hair. Yes, that's right, great hair... even when you're spending extra days between washes and dancing your days away in the great outdoors. Sure, styling presents a few different challenges than it normally would at home, namely hiding dirty roots and preventing accidental dreadlocks (although that's a really cool look to consider if you do it on purpose) but it can be super easy when you know how. All you really need is one style that will keep a lot of your hair under control and look pretty at the same time. Cue the braided headband. Not only does this bohemian beauty look gorgeous, it's also incredibly easy to replicate. To find out how, just follow the step-by-step tutorial below.
Step one: Spray some dry shampoo on your roots and brush your hair through.
Step two: Part your hair in the middle then braid a small chunk on either side, taking the hair from behind your ears.
Step three: Secure the braids at the ends with the smallest ties you can find then pin them over the top of your head to form a headband. Use as many pins as you need for it to feel secure - you're going to need this style to be quite hard-wearing for all that dancing. FYI, if you're into festival-ready hair accessories, the braid gives you a very convenient place to attach them.
Step four: Spray your whole style liberally with L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray and you're all set!
Will the braided headband be your go-to festival hairstyle?
