This season, there are a lot of hairstyle trends to try, but what if you could rock three at once? A beautiful multitasker, this simple ponytail does a great job of combining disheveled hair, a wet-look finish and low ponies into one efficient little hairstyle that anyone can achieve.
To find out how you can recreate the look on your own mane, follow the tutorial below!
How to style it
To start, brush your hair through to detangle it. This might not sound terribly important, but it makes the whole process ten times easier.
Rake your hair back off your face with your fingers, then run some Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Extreme Style Gel from your hairline through to the back of your head.
At the front, massage the roots on top of your head to add height, then section off the hair on top and pin it into a little quiff. As you pin it, bump the hair forward to give it more shape.
Apply more gel as needed through the rest of your hair, scrunching as you go to add texture. You can leave the lower third, or two thirds, 'dry' if you're not really down for a roots-to-ends gelled look.
Gather your hair at the nape of your neck and tie it into a loose, low ponytail. To hide the elastic, take a piece of hair from the pony and wide it around the base, then secure it underneath with a bobby pin to complete the look.
