If you love all things vintage, we have the perfect retro hairstyle tutorial for you! The messy bouffant pony above looks great on medium and long hair, and it's a great way to deal with dirty roots.
To find out how to get the look, just follow the tutorial below.
How to style it
Step 1
Create a side part with a tail comb - it doesn't matter which side you choose, just go with whatever feels most comfortable.
Step 2
Section off your bangs or some small pieces of hair at the front and tuck them behind your ears.
Step 3
Spray the roots on top and at the crown of your head with Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray, then gently tease the hair to build volume.
Step 4
Keep teasing until you're happy with the amount of height, then gently sweep all of your hair back with your hands.
Step 5
Secure the bouffant at the back with bobby pins, then gather the loose ends into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck. To hide the elastic, wrap a small piece of hair from the pony around the base and secure it with a pin underneath.
Step 6
Complete your finished bouffant ponytail with a generous amount of Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray. This will give your hair great hold and protect it from any frizz-inducing moisture in the air.
That's it!
