- V/S
Moving forward from the classic faded cuts that took hold in recent years, the male grooming world is shifting slowly towards more relaxed, textured styles. This season, the more movement, the better! Currently, there are two major ways to rock a looser, more laid back style: brushed forward or swept back. The big question is, which one do you prefer?
Two looks, one cut
The great thing about both of these styles is that they can be done with the same haircut. You just need plenty of length on top to pull forwards into a set of bangs or to push back into a slick 'devil may care' kind of style.
Easy styling
Neither style is especially time consuming, especially when you have the right products in your arsenal. Make sure you use something that remains flexible and is formulated not to leave any residue, such as L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle TXT Deconstructing Gum or TXT IT Hyper Fix Putty.
Brushed forward
To get the perfect lazy-boy bangs, all you need to do is apply a small amount of Deconstructing Gum, then twist and tousle random sections as you rake it all forwards.
Swept back
In order to become the smooth operator you've always known you could be, warm a small amount of Hyper Fix Putty on your fingertips then work it back through your hair, dragging it all back off your face. Add more putty as needed but be careful not to overdo it. If you want a really tidy finish, use a wide-tooth comb to smooth out your style.
What do you think? Which look gets your vote?
