If you have a lot of natural texture, taming your hair for work or a formal occasion can seem like a huge effort. After all, you want your boss to think you can do 'pulled-together' with the best of them, right? The thing is, your hair doesn't really care one way or the other...

The good news is that you can tame your locks into a crop of suble, natural-looking waves with the right products, keeping them under control and frizz-free all day long. Your best bet is to use a gum or putty that won't set hard so you can reshape your style as and when you need to.

Showing your hair who's boss only takes a couple of minutes and you only need one hair product to do it with!

Get the look

Step one: Take a small amount of Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Deconstructing Gum and warm it in your hands. Once emulsified, work it back through your hair, focusing on the longest parts of your hair and, of course, the most stubborn.

Step two: Use your fingers to twist and shape small sections of hair on top then flatten down the back and sides. You want to show off your natural texture but prevent it from falling any which way as this will only make you look scruffy. (That's totally fine in a lot of situations, but sometimes only a well-groomed look will cut it!) Try sweeping it back from your face or guiding it all to one side.

Step three: Sculpt as desired and make any final adjustments with your hands. As mentioned above, the gum won't set hard like a gel so you can rework your hair on the go if you want to!

Hey presto! Say hello to your new, controlled hairstyle.
