A ponytail is always a great go-to hairstyle, especially when styled with a retro twist. We love this chic 1960s inspired pony for long hair because it's easy to achieve, it can be worn anywhere, and it looks really cute! To find out how to recreate the look, just follow the tutorial below.
How to style it
Starting with towel dried hair, apply Advanced Hairstyle BLOW DRY IT Quick Dry Primer Spray throughout and rough dry until your locks are only slightly damp.
Spritz Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Blow Out Heatspray all over and continue the blowout with a round brush, using it to smooth the hair and curve the ends. If necessary, you can use a flat iron for any touch ups once the hair is completely dry.
Once dried, brush your hair to smooth it, then apply Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray to the roots at the crown of your head.
Lift the hair you sprayed and gently tease it from behind with a fine-tooth comb to add volume, then smooth it back over.
Gather your hair into a ponytail and tie. Take a piece of the hair from the pony, wrap it tightly around the base to camouflage the elastic and secure with a bobby pin underneath.
Complete the look with plenty of Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray. This will keep frizz to a minimum and eliminate any flyaways that may have appeared while styling your pony.
