Long hair on guys allows for loads of different styling options, just like long hair on girls. It also happens to look great when styled in an edgy way, say with a slight wet-effect or tousled surfer-style texture. Picture Tim Riggins on a sunny day and you can't go too far wrong.
The great news is that a fresh, beachy hairstyle takes no time at all to actually do and you can start with dry hair. If you haven't had time to wash it, this could be the perfect look for you...
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Deconstructing Gum
Comb
Your hands
Step one: Start by warming some Deconstructing Gum in your hands. Place a little bit on your finger tips and then rub your hands together to emulsify it.
Step two: Using quick, sweeping movements, work the gum back through the lengths of your hair. Add more as you go and only use as much as you need. You're aiming for a look that is styled but relaxed, so don't go too slick! It's a whole lot easier to put more product in than it is to wash it all out and start over.
Step three: Comb your hair through to help ensure even gum distribution.
Step four: Use your hands to slightly muss the style for a more beachy, unkempt look. Massage the roots a little and scrunch the longest parts of your hair to do this. Take small sections of hair and twist them, then finger-comb to create a more piecey, tousled finish.
Step five: Double check the back in a mirror and give your hair one last backwards sweep. Apply a little more gum for some final touch-ups if necessary and you're good to go.
Happy styling!
