Are you looking for a new way to style your long locks? If so, we may have the perfect look for you in the rather lovely form of a knotted updo. This style is full of texture and is a great alternative to a regular bun (even though buns may be the best, most brilliant hairstyles ever).
To find out how to make it your own, all you need to do is check out the video above by L'Oréal Paris! To make the styling process super easy, we've also laid out the written instructions below.
Get the look
Starting with dry hair, spray L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray all over.
Tease the hair at the crown of your head to boost volume. To help avoid damaging your locks, take a look at our guide to gentle back-combing.
Pull your hair back to the middle of your head and secure into two ponytails, one of top of the other. (FYI - this is a great trick to make your pony appear longer, especially if you're trying to grow out a short/medium cut.)
Tie the top ponytail in a knot and pin it in place then do the same with the second ponytail and pin it, too.
Wind the ends around and pin them in messy loops.
Loosen a few wispy strands of hair at the front to frame the face and soften the overall look of this style.
Apply a small amount of Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Hyper Fix Putty to add texture and you're all set!
What do you think? Could this be the new undo you've been looking for?
