We all know that we should be getting regular haircuts - every 6-8 weeks in an ideal world - but sometimes, it's easier to judge when the time is right by listening to what your mane is trying to tell you. Below are some of your tresses' favorite, if slightly irritating, ways to communicate...
1/ 1. It misbehaves
Everyone has a bad hair day from time to time, but if you're having them more frequently than usual, it may be time to head to the salon.
Top tip - To and shine and tame flyaways in a hot minute, spray your hair with Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Strand Smoother Serum Spray.
2/ 2. It seems dryer than usual
If your ends feel more straw-like than they normally do, it could be because your hair has become dry and damaged, and the only way to deal with that is to remove the dead wood, so to speak.
3/ 3. It looks weird and you can't tell why
When there's something not quite right about the way your hair looks - i.e. not what you were expecting after completing your normal styling routine - it could mean that your hair has grown enough to throw your style out of whack. Luckily, a quick trim will fix it, in no time.
Top tip - If you can't make it to the salon for a little while, use Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray to create some gorgeous updos.
4/ 4. It takes ages to detangle
Whether in the shower or with a brush, when your hair starts to take a long time to detangle, it could be because it's damaged. That said, this will happen during winter anyway, thanks to scarves and high collared jackets rubbing our hair up the wrong way.
5/ 5. It splits, a lot
It's not unusual to have the odd split end, but when you start to see a lot of them, it's definitely time to make the cut.
