As is often articulated in the beauty world, wet-look hair isn't the most wearable of hair trends . Sure, it looks gorgeous on all those chiseled models up there on the runway but for us mere mortals, things are a little different. Walking into the office with a Doutzen Kroes-style wet-effect hairstyle might mean a written warning... or at least it feels that way.
However, for the braver hairstylistas (it could be a word... one day) among you, there is a solution to the wet-look conundrum: mixed textures! What this means is only styling part of your hairstyle into a wet-look 'do and leaving the rest decidedly "dry" in comparison.
If you're still in need of a little persuasion to make the wet-look leap for the first time, there are a couple more things that might help. Firstly, wet-look hair is a celebration of damp-looking roots, meaning that unwashed hair is A-OK! Similarly, it's a great style for masking a bad hair day, too. On top of that, a mixed texture wet-effect 'do is super easy to realize.
