Styling some 'barely there' waves are a great way to add subtle texture to naturally straight hair as well as injecting a little extra volume. It's also a great look for shorter cuts like a bob. Perhaps the best thing, though, is that it happens to be a look that is really easy to actually do once you know how! To get the look, simply follow the tutorial below...
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Blow Out HeatSpray
Medium-sized barrel brush
Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Fine Control Hairspray
Step one: Prep your hair with Blow Out HeatSpray before you begin.
Step two: Dry the hair using a round brush. Curl the ends up around the brush as each section gets to the point where it's almost dry. Hold the dryer in place for a few sections then release the hair.
Step three: Spin the brush as you roll it downwards to release the hair. Once it's all off the brush, grab the wave in the palm of your hand and hold it close to your head. Spray the section while holding it with Fine Control Hairspray. This will help to set it.
Step four: Part your hair in the middle or slightly off center then run a paddle brush through your hair to smooth out the waves. Finally, re-spray all over and you're good to go!
If you would prefer a more tousled look, dry the hair in medium-sized twisted sections after applying Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Tousle Waves Spray. This will create loose matte waves that won't seem as styled as the look featured here.
