Low bun hairstyles are always guaranteed to look chic and totally pulled together, whatever your natural hair texture. The trouble is, it can seem like a style that's a little too easy to style (read: requires little to no effort and makes you look lazy). One way to get around this is to braid the bun! It's an easy solution that adds detail to an otherwise minimalist look, making for a pretty, practical updo.
With its sleek finish and tightly-pinned focal point, it keeps all of the hair off the face and completely under control. Perfect for work, or even a night out, this undeniably grown-up 'do has a lot going for it. Step one: Spray the hair all over with Iron Straight Heatspray and flat iron. Don't worry about straightening the ends, no one will be able to see those when they're inside the bun anyway.
Step two: Brush your hair back into a low pony and tie with a hair elastic.
Step three: Braid the pony all the way down to the ends and secure with another hair tie. If your hair is particularly thick, split the pony and do two braids.
Step four: Wind the braid(s) around into a bun and pin. Tuck the ends underneath the rest to hide the ties.
Step five: Mist with hairspray to finish, smoothing down the top and sides of your head with your hands to eliminate flyaways.
