If you feel like you've been wearing the same hairstyle for forever (not necessarily a bad thing), it might be time to switch things up a little bit to get you out of a rut... or stop you falling into one! We've put together a list of three easy looks that will revamp your look without a trip to the salon.
Tousled waves
Whatever the season, tousled waves always create a perfectly laid-back hairstyle that can be dressed up or down for any occasion. It's a texture that looks as good pinned up as it does left down, and it's flattering on just about every cut long enough to curl.
To style: Spray dry or damp hair with Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Tousle Waves Spray evenly throughout. Take a chunk of hair and twist it then blow-dry while you hold onto the ends. Once dried, leave the twisted hair alone and repeat this drying process on the rest of your hair. Use your fingers to break up the twists then scrunch the ends with a tiny amount of Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Deconstructing Gum.
DIY blowout
Another way to get some fresh new movement into your locks is with a blowout. Difficult though the pros make it look, a DIY blowout at home can actually be a pretty straightforward process when you know how to do it!
To style: Spray your hair evenly with Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Blow Out HeatSpray to start with. If you're starting with damp hair, use a paddle brush to get most of it dried then switch to a round brush. Wrap individual sections around the brush then slowly glide the barrel through to the ends as the hair dries. When it pops off the brush, gather it in the palm of your hand and spray with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray then clip the curl up to cool. Repeat until all of your hair is dry, let down the curls then brush them through. Mist once more with hairspray and you're all set.
Volume
Adding more volume at the root can also drastically change the way your hairstyle looks – in a good way! Why not channel your inner Audrey Hepburn with a vintage beehive? You don't have to wear all of your hair up if you don't want to as a half-up style looks just as good!
To style: Clip a section of hair at the front out of the way then spray the top and crown with Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray. Tease the hair until you have a good amount of height then smooth some loose hair over the top and pin at the back. Let down the hair at the front then tuck or pin it behind your ears. You can leave the rest of the hair down or gather it all up into a pony or French twist at this point. Whatever you do, mist with plenty of Bold Control Hairspray to finish.
