During the summer, beachy, wavy hairstyles like Karlie Kloss' medium-length 'do above are everywhere and it's not hard to understand why. Like a sleek bob or long princess curls, it's impossible to get sick of beach waves. The volume, the movement and the sultry matte finish make for an understated yet undeniably sexy look- what's not to love?
If you haven't yet jumped on the beach wave bandwagon, you can recreate Karlie's look by following the tutorial below.
How to style it
Step 1
Starting with damp hair, apply a volume-enhancing mousse throughout. A lightweight product like Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Inject Mousse will help to add body while your hair dries without leaving any residue behind.
Step 2
Rough dry your hair until it's only very slightly damp, using your hands instead of a brush to guide your strands.
Step 3
Spritz a texturizing spray such as Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Tousle Waves Spray from roots to ends. Continue the blowout by drying your hair in small, twisted sections- about 1 inch or so big. Alternate the direction you twist the hair in, and make sure each piece is dry before moving onto the next.
Step 4
Once your hair is totally dry, you can use a curling iron to add more waves wherever necessary, just make sure you reapply the Tousle Waves Spray first to protect your tresses from heat damage.
Step 5
Flip your hair over to one side, then spray it again and scrunch the ends. When you're happy with the texture, set your new beachy hairstyle with plenty of hairspray. A brushable product like Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray will give your waves lasting hold without any crunchiness.
