Everyone has been talking about wet-look hair for what feels like forever but what about grunge hair? It's pretty much the same thing and it's been around for just as long, if not longer! Another thing worth bearing in mind is just how wearable a grunge-style wet-look hairdo is when compared to something more typically 'runway'.
Perhaps not totally workplace-friendly (depending on your work-place of course), it is a very wearable look, especially for a night out or a relaxed weekend look.
Oh, and did we mention that it's the easiest hairstyle on the planet to actually do? Seriously, it's easier than a ponytail (well, ish).
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Deconstructing Gum
Wide-tooth comb
A bobby pin
Step one: Starting with dry hair, comb it all through to remove any knots or tangles. This will make the whole styling process go really smoothly...
Step two: Warm some Deconstructing Gum to emulsify it. Place a little on your fingertips and then rub your hands together. This step is necessary as it makes the product really easy to apply.
Step three: Work the gum through the lengths of your hair with your fingertips. Start with the bottom layers and work your way up to the top of your head.
Step four: Apply more gum as you go. Stop once you have enough hold to maintain a wavy, tousled texture after a few scrunches, just be careful not to overload your locks. Leaving the odd section of hair loose is totally fine, it will make the texture more interesting.
Step five: Comb the hair through and part your hair to one side. Tuck the hair on the opposite siode behind your ear and secure with a bobby pin.
Step six: Scrunch and tousle the hair a little more and complete any final adjustments with your fingertips.
If you want a slightly wavier look, blow-dry your hair in twisted sections with Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Tousle Waves Spray before you start this tutorial.
What do you think, could this be the hairstyle that finally convinces you to give wet-look hair a try?
