After Halloween comes the recovery from Halloween, and we're not just talking blood sugar levels here. Your hair, which may have been teased, curled, straightened and woven into a spectacularly spooky hairstyle, is going to need some TLC.
Detangling is an important first step and one that can seem impossible with a matted post-apocalyptic zombie mop. Fear not, however, we can help make things a little easier for you.
Conditioner and plenty of it
To undo all of those knots, don't worry about shampooing for the moment, just go ahead and slather on a ton of conditioner while you're in the shower.
Then, take a wide-tooth comb and take your time working through the tangles. You may find it easier to gently pull the bigger, trickier knots out with your fingers. When your hair resembles its regular old self again, you can shampoo and condition as normal.
If you have time, apply a deep conditioning mask and leave it in for as long as you can to soothe and rehydrate your mane.
Lay off the heat styling
After a heavy duty event like Halloween, give your hair a break from heat styling and allow it to air dry naturally. After towel-drying, apply Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Frizz Vanisher Cream throughout, then just let it do its thing. The cream will help to minimize frizz as the hair dries, just as it would when you use a blowdryer.
Once dried, apply a serum or oil to your hair - whichever keeps it the most manageable for you - to keep it smooth throughout the day.
After all that, your hair should be back to it's tangle-free, beautiful self!
