Hair oil is one of those miracle haircare products that absolutely anyone can reap the benefits of. Whatever the length and texture of your strands, it's a nourishing treatment for both your scalp and your hair, resulting in soft, shiny tresses that look and feel healthier than ever.
There are a few different ways you can add hair oil to your current haircare routine, and you can check them out below!
Before shampooing, apply hair oil from roots to ends to hydrate it and replenish shine-enhancing nutrients. Place a couple of pumps of oil into your palm, rub your hands together, then smooth it through your hair. Make sure you really work the oil in, and add more as needed.
After towel-drying your hair, apply hair oil sparingly from roots to ends, then blow-dry it on a warm or cool heat setting. Anything hotter could fry your strands and cause unnecessary damage. Once dried, calm any flyaways with a little more oil, either by using your hands or an old makeup brush (that has been cleaned, obviously).
You can also scrunch hair oil through curls and waves to add definition, and use it to soothe parched ends after heat styling. It also adds shine and tames frizz, whether you used heat or opted for a natural air dry.
3/ Between washes
If you've ever tried to go multiple days between washes, you may have noticed the lengths and ends of your hair get a little dry and dull. When this happens, smooth one or two pumps of hair oil through your hair to rehydrate and add shine to your hair, taking care to avoid the roots.
FYI - You can totally do this in conjunction with dry shampoo if your hair is prone to greasiness at the scalp. Just make sure you don't mix the two products.
What do you think? Will you make oil a part of your haircare regimen?
