It's no secret that wet-look hair is a huge trend for spring 2014, just like it was last year and the year before. The trouble is, wet-look hair can be a little difficult to wear if you don't belong to the fashion glitterati... unless you have a real-life friendly style or two up your sleeve!
The easiest wet-look hairstyle to wear is one that doesn't necessarily look like it's a wet-look 'do at first glance. Mixed textures – wet and dry – are perfect for this because they can be sculpted into a half-up hairstyle with the wet-look area pinned back into the "up" section. It's what you might call the best of both worlds.
If you think this could be the wet-look style for you, keep reading to find out just how to get the look!
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Deconstructing Gum
Step one: Starting with dry hair, comb it all through from roots to ends to remove any knots and tangles.
Step two: Warm a little Deconstructing Gum in your hands. Place a small amount on your fingertips and then rub your hands together.
Step three: Work the gum through the top half of your hair, stopping once you reach ear level. Run your fingers through your hair, adding more gum as you go, until the hair starts to appear wet-look.
Step four: Pin the top wet-look half of your hair at the back of your hair where the wet and dry textures meet.
Step five: If you want to add some relaxed movement down the lengths of your hair, take a large-barrel curling iron and make some large waves and fix with hairspray.
