Half-up hair
Half-up hair

Half-up hairstyles allow you to experience the best of both worlds – the practicality of an updo combined with the movement of a loose one! We really like this simple style, where the focal point is a sharp center part, emphasized by added volume around the crown.

With a soft, wispy silhouette and a real 'dressed down' feel, it's a hairstyle that can look good on just about anyone with mid-to-long hair. Just follow the tutorial below to get the look!

What you need:

Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Inject Mousse
Blow-dryer
Paddle brush
Tail comb
Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray
Bobby pins
Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray

Step one: After towel-drying your hair, scrunch some Volume Inject Mousse through it.

Step two: Blow-dry the hair using a paddle brush. Make sure you keep the airflow pointed downward to get a straight finish.

Step three: Once dried, give yourself a center part with a tail comb.

Step four: Spray the top layers of hair with High Lift Creation spray then back-comb, focusing on the top and crown of your head. Don't go overboard as you just want to build a small amount of height.

Step five: Smooth the hair gently back into a half-up style and pin at the back. Bump the hair forwards a little before you secure it.

Step six: Use your fingertips to lift and loosen the hair after you've pinned it then complete the look with a mist of Bold Control Hairspray.

That's it!
