L'Oréal Paris spokesmodel Barbara Palvin was always going to look great when she rocked up to Men's Fashion Week in Paris, not least because of her hair. Styled in a texturized pony, it was the perfect no-fuss look that could work in a formal setting, i.e. a job interview, or a more relaxed environment.
If your hair is shoulder-length, or longer, and you're in need of a new 'do, look no further. With the right products and some simple styling (teasing, mostly) this on-trend pony can be all yours in mere minutes.
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Tousle Waves Spray
Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Lift Creation Spray
Blowdryer
Comb
Brush
Hair elastic
Bobby pins
Step one
Starting with damp hair, apply a Tousle Waves Spray throughout. Then, take a section of hair, twist it and blow-dry. Repeat this process on all of your hair and finger-comb at the end to break up the twists. This should leave your hair looking tousled, just like with beach waves.
Step two
Apply Lift Creation Spray to the roots on top of your head. Massage and tease with a comb to add a little extra volume, creating the slight lift Barbara had. Use the comb to very gently smooth hair over for a bump-free finish.
Step three
Gather all the hair up into a ponytail, using a brush to smooth down the sides, and secure it roughly halfway up the back of your head using a hair elastic. Pin back any major flyaways with bobby pins.
Top tip: For a really chic touch, take a section of hair from the pony, wrap it around the hair elastic and secure with a bobby pin.
Step four
Spray a generous amount of strong hold hairspray onto the palm of your hand, rub hands together and then flatten the sides again. This will fix any small, unruly flyways into place and keep your style looking polished all day (or night) long.
Finish with one final all-over mist of hairspray and you're done!
