French braids look good wherever and however they're worn, whether you have a party to go to or a workout. This low ponytail hairstyle is a great example of just how pretty French braiding can be, and the good news is you don't even have to braid all of your hair to recreate the look!
How to style it
Brush your hair through to detangle before you begin. Unexpected knots make keeping track of your hair more difficult that it needs to be when braiding.
Spray your hair all over with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Fine Control Hairspray. This will give your strands some extra grip and make the plaiting process easier.
Starting at the top of your head, take a piece of hair and divide it into three sections. Pass the righthand section into the middle, then the lefthand section, as you would with a normal braid.
The next time you place a section of hair in the middle of the braid, drag a small piece of loose hair from the side with it and make it part of that section. Then, do the exact same on the other side.
Keep braiding and adding more hair with each overlap until all of the hair has been used up and you've reached the nape of your neck. Secure the upbraided lengths into a low ponytail with a hair tie, and pull it fairly tight so the braid feels secure.
Gently tease a few small pieces of hair loose to frame your face and soften the look. Finish with another veil of Fine Control Hairspray and you're all set!
