1. Side Sweeping Ponytail

The side sweeping ponytail is a crisp and sophisticated formal hairstyle, best suited for women with shoulder length, thick and straight hair.

How to Create this Style

Step 1

Add volume at the crown by back brushing and teasing your hair shafts a few times; use a good hair spray to create maximum lift

Step 2

Create a side part, leaving out about 2-inches of hair framing the face to the side

Step 3

Gently brush back the rest of your hair and tie it into a mid-height ponytail

Step 4

Pin the left out hair section behind your ear

2. Elegant Side Braid

This easy to achieve, classy office hairstyle can be tried out on medium length hair or any texture.

How to Create This Style

Step 1

Using a wide toothed comb, create a side part in your hair

Step 2

Gently brush and gather your hand on the side opposite to the part

Step 3

Divide the gathered hair into three sections and start braiding

Step 4

When done, secure the braid with a hair tie

Step 5

To soften the look, pull out a few face-framing wisps on the same side as the braid

3. Slicked Back Half Updo

The glamorous slicked back half updo works best for women with thick, stick straight hair, which is at least shoulder length or longer.

How to Create this Style

Step 1

Apply a strong hold hair gel to the front and sides of your hair

Step 2

Slick back all the hair framing your face

Step 3

Take a small (horse shoes shaped) section of your front hair, from the beginning of your temple to back of your crown, and pin it out of the way

Step 4

Smooth out the sides of your hair above your ears using a fine comb and secure with bobby pins on both sides

Step 5

Free the pinned front section of your hair and gently smooth it back with the help of a comb; make sure the slicked back hair hides the bobby pins on the sides

Step 6

Finish off with a strong hold hairspray
