Eva Longoria always has great hair, but she recently rocked a particularly great style. When she turned up to the recent Fourth Annual London Global gift Gala, her hair was styled into a glamorous low bun with a centre parting. It was so good, in fact, that we decided to write a tutorial for it.
A chic up do
Eva's low bun with the centre parting made a refreshing change from the numerous high top knot style buns which are all over the red carpet at the moment (not that we don't love that style, of course). It was the perfect understated hairstyle for the glamorous event and it definitely brought a touch of chic to her look for the night. A simple style like this is a good one to pair with a fussy dress to help maintain a certain amount of balance.
Get the look
If you want to steal Eva's chic updo for yourself then it's actually a fairly simple style to recreate. If you've got clean, dry hair then you are pretty much ready to go.
Step one: Brush your hair through and give yourself a centre part.
Step two: Leaving the part in place - not covered with any strands of hair - smooth the sides of your hair down and pull them together into a low ponytail at the base of your neck.
Step three: Fasten with a hair elastic and twist the ponytail into a bun. Clip this in place with a hair clip.
Step four: Spray a halo of hairspray all over your new 'do. Smooth down the sides of your hair with your palms to get rid of any flyaways.
So there you have it, an elegant bun style that is easy to recreate. Happy styling!
