Easy summer hairstyles don't come much easier than a textured low ponytail! This low-effort, voluminous pony is a gorgeous way to deal with dirty hair, tame frizzy tresses, or to keep your locks off your face. To find out how to get the look, follow the tutorial below!
How to style it
If you're starting with freshly washed hair, apply a volume-enhancing product like Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray before blow drying. Scrunch it evenly throughout, then rough-dry your hair all the way.
If you're starting with dry, unwashed hair, use dry shampoo to absorb excess oil at the root, then brush it out.
Gently backcomb the hair at the back to add some more volume, kind of like a low beehive. Lift the hair up and backcomb it from underneath, then smooth it gently over when you're done.
Gather your hair back into a low ponytail approximately an inch above the nape of your neck, gently bumping the hair upwards as you secure it.
To hide the elastic, take a pinch of hair from the pony, wrap it around the base, and secure it underneath with a bobby pin.
Pull your bangs loose at the front, or some small pieces of hair, to frame your face, then complete the look with a veil of hairspray. This will give your ponytail great hold and a protective barrier against any frizz-inducing moisture in the air.
