If you're frustrated with growing out your bangs but still have a way to go, we have a great little hack for you: braid them! While this may not seem like the easiest, most fuss-free solution in the world, it does get really easy with practice! It's a practical style and one that's very pretty at the same time... if that's any consolation.
While the model in the photo has all of her hair up, you can braid your bangs and leave everything else down if you prefer. Depending on the length of the bangs, you could also try a braid that's tighter or noticeably looser. The whole idea is to keep your bangs out of the way, the rest is all up (or down) to you!
The technique
Start on one side then braid three small sections as you normally would, passing each section underneath the middle one, rather than over the top. After the first criss-cross, gather a small amount of hair on each side, each time you bring a side piece into the middle of the braid. To make the whole process easier, start an inch or so back from your hairline.
Keep going until your bangs have basically disappeared. At this point, you can either stop there, continue into a side braid or go all-out with a crown. Whichever look you choose, secure with pins and a generous mist of Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray for long-lasting hold.
Top tip – You might find this all a lot easier between washes as the hair's natural oils help it to stay in place as you braid.
You could also try this style with tousled waves for extra texture or add some floral accessories for an ultra-summery look.
Happy styling!
