Although there are a ton of very pretty straight hairstyles out there, there are also a whole bunch of really cute looks that actually work better with curly hair. The faux bob is one of them and another just so happens to be a loose, pinned up hairstyle. This kind of updo is designed to showcase your curls, creating a full, volumized look that won't overwhelm your face or crush your corkscrews.
Not only that, it's also the easiest hairstyle since, like, ever (or a ponytail). If you don't quite believe we're telling the truth, try the tutorial below!
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle CURVE IT Elastic Curl Mousse
Blow-dryer & diffuser
Bobby pins
Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray
Step one: After towel-drying hair, apply Elastic Curl Mousse generously throughout. If you have enough time, allow your hair to air dry. If you don't, blow-dry on a low heat setting with a diffuser. The mousse will help to define your curls and keep them looking full and bouncy for up to 24 hours.
Step two: Once the hair is all totally dry, you're ready to start pinning it back. Working in large sections, twist and pin hair to the back of your head, building an intricate bun as you go. Don't pull your hair back too severely as this will squish the romance flat out of this style!
Step three: Keep going until the lengths of your hair are all pinned back. Tease a few tendrils loose around the front to help frame your face.
Step four: Finish with a generous mist of Bold Control Hairspray to fix your super simple, super pretty new hairstyle in place all day long!
Happy styling!
