The double part, as seen on the catwalk

Bored of your look? We've got a suggestion for adding an unexpected element to your hairstyle, all by simply doubling-up your part! It's super easy and quick to do, just follow our tutorial...

It's Part-y time!

What you'll need:

A tail comb, a paddle brush, Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Strand-Smoother Serum Spray, Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray, a hair tie

Step one: Before drying your hair, apply Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Strand-Smoother Serum Spray throughout, from root to tip.

Step two: Blow dry with the nozzle pointing downwards. If you have naturally frizzy or flyaway hair, you may want to use a flat iron, but make sure you apply heat protectant (like Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Iron Straight Heatspray) first.

Step three: Use your tail comb to create a part in your hair - starting one inch from the centre of your forehead, at an angle.

Tip: for the correct angle, look at yourself square on in the mirror, imagine your face is a clock, and use your tail comb to create a part at an 11 o'clock angle.

Step four: Repeat on the other side of your head, with the part starting one inch from the center, at a 1 o'clock angle.

Step five: This should leave you with a triangular section of hair at the top of your head. Tie this with a hair tie to get it temporarily out of the way.

Step six: Use the paddle brush to smooth down the sides of the hair.

Step seven: Untie the top section of hair and brush through with your paddle brush. Then carefully comb the hair neatly back, making sure the two parts are still visible. Secure the ends with a hair tie and then finish with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray.

You're done!
