The eternal question - side or center part? - rages each time we take a tail comb to our hair before styling and will probably continue to do so forever. After all, both have their merits and both can help create totally different looks.
In a (perhaps futile) bid to settle this debate once and for all, we've decided to pit the side and center parts against each other to find out which one YOU prefer. Please help us out by voting for your favourite above.
The thing is...
...that it all depends on what kind of look you want and what shape your face is. Like bangs, different parts suit different faces and, for some lucky people, either can work.
For heart-shaped faces, a center part looks really good with long hair. If you have a shorter cut, however, a side part or side-swept bangs can help balance out the wider parts of your face.
If you have a round face, a side part is best as this will help your face appear longer while showcasing your best side.
Square faces look best with a deep side part to soften the jawline and forehead. As with round faces, a side-part also helps to make your face appear longer.
Anyone with an oval face has really hit the jackpot when it comes to choosing where to part their hair. They can get away with any part, anyhow - even zig-zags! If you happen to be in possession of such a face, you should experiment with every part you can think of... just because you can!
Ultimately, choosing the right place for a part is all about what you feel most comfortable with so go for what looks AND feels good for you.
