A bun hairstyle is always a great go-to style, especially during the summer. Buns do a stellar job of keeping long hair up and off the back of the neck, and they look super chic while they do it! There are many ways to rock a bun and two of our favorites are a low knot and a more intricate, twisted chignon. The question is, which one do you like best?
Low knot
Understated, elegant hairstyles are always preferable to complicated, try hard looks and the low knot is a prime example. It's a simple yet totally pulled together updo, making it the perfect choice for absolutely every occasion. The old 'less is more' mantra is cliché for a reason, folks!
Styling tip
Eliminate flyaways and add shine with Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Strand Smoother Serum Spray.
Twisted chignon
If you have a medium-length or short haircut, or just want something with a bit more detail, a twisted chignon updo is a pretty alternative. It's equally as effective for keeping your locks out of the way and looks just as sophisticated as a low knot, it just has more texture at the back.
Styling tip
To make styling as easy as possible, spray your hair and your bobby pins with Advanced Hairstyle BLOW DRY IT Longwear Spray beforehand. The dry shampoo formula will add texture and grip to both.
