When you're figuring out how to wear your hair to brunch, your main goal is something chic, easy and versatile, especially if you're recovering from a night out! Luckily, chic accessories like barrettes are available to make styling your hair as simple as can be. So, how can you wear them?
How to wear a barrette
You can use your chosen barrette to hold all or a section of your hair in place as part of an updo, or you can use it to clip the top layers up into a half-up hairstyle, leaving the lengths loose. If you're dealing with day two hair, but still have great movement below ear level, the latter is always a failsafe option. Both options keep your hair off your face and out of your way though.
Styling tips
1/ Sleek, straight hair
Starting with dry hair, spritz the lengths with a heat protectant like Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Iron Straight Heatspray, then flat iron in sections on a medium heat - in most cases, this is hot enough to get the job done. Brush it through and finish with plenty of hairspray when you're done.
2/ Textured waves
For a more bohemian look, create some texture with a wave enhancing spray such as Advanced Hairstyle TXT IT Tousle Waves Spray. Apply it throughout, then use a 1" curling iron to create beachy waves. When you're done, scrunch some more spray through the ends before adding the barrette.
