Paris Fashion Week (Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014-2015 for those of you who enjoy the specifics) is officially underway and we have been keeping our eyes open for any inspiring hairstyles. One of our favorite PFW week 'dos so far is this pretty braided updo, as seen at the Fred Sathal show.
Braided updo
At the Fred Sathal show, the models walked the runway with their hair styled into intricate, chignons composed of dozens of mini braids. We instantly fell for this ethereal, summertime look, which seemed to be the perfect choice of 'do to match the metallic, colorful outfits in the presentation. What did we love so much about it? Something about the contrast between the detailed, braided finish and the simplicity of the bun just struck a chord with us!
Get the look
Although this style is much less complicated than it looks, it can be a little time consuming so be sure to give yourself enough time to complete it. It all depends on how fast you can braid but allow at least twenty minutes, if not thirty to be on the safe side.
Step one
After washing your hair through, comb out any tangles and apply Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Frizz Vanisher Cream and allow it to air-dry if you have time. If not, rough dry without a brush to give you a subtly textured, frizz-free finish.
Step two
Take one small section of hair, braid it and fasten at the end with an invisible hair elastic.
Step three
Repeat step three until all of your hair is braided.
Step four
Grab a few braids a time, twist them upwards and pin at the top of your head.
Step five
Repeat step four until all of the hair is pinned up.
Step six
Mist some Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray over your new style and you're all set!
