Half-hawk hairstyles can be pretty intense, even the faux ones, so we're constantly on the lookout for easy-to-wear versions of the look. Seen on the runway during the Manodi A/W '14 show during Seoul Fashion Week, this braided hairstyle is a great place to start for anyone who wants to ease their way into a more 'out there' half-hawk.
It also looks really cool with black leather, don't you think?

This hairstyle is essentially just a loose 'do with a braid, making it especially easy to recreate at home.
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Frizz Vanisher Cream
Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray
Step one: After towel-drying, apply Frizz Vanisher Cream evenly from roots to ends and blow-dry using a round brush to guide the hair. Once it's about 90% dry, rough-dry until you're done for a textured finish. If you want more movement, use a curling iron to make some big waves once the hair is dry.
Step two: Take a tail comb and define a deep side part on whichever side of your head you like best.
Step three: French braid the hair on the 'smaller' side back past your ear, then braid down the lengths as you would with a regular braid. Secure with a hair elastic about three inches from the ends.
Step four: Take a small section of hair from the end of the braid and wrap it around the hair elastic. Tuck it in so it stays in place.
Step five: Spray everything with Bold Control Hairspray for long-lasting hold, and you're good to go.
