L'Oréal Paris spokesperson Blake Lively has some of the best celebrity hair ever, so when she attends the most glamorous fashion event of the year, magical things seem to happen. At both the 2013 and 2014 Met Galas, the former Gossip Girl wore her ridiculously beautiful hair in equally impressive styles.
The question is, could you choose between these two undeniably gorgeous looks?
Bubbles and punk
In 2013, the Met Gala's dress code was "Punk", which inevitably resulted in a myriad of interesting interpretations. Blake's approach involved a playful bubble ponytail that we still can't forget.
To style: Spray the roots with Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray and massage with your fingertips to lift the hair. Smooth your hair back into a high pony, taking care to keep it fairly loose. Take a strand from the pony to camouflage the hair tie and pin underneath. Tie two or three more elastics down the lengths of your hair and camouflage them, too. Pull the 'bubbles' apart and finish with a generous mist of Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray.
Silver screen siren
The golden age of Hollywood might be over but you wouldn't know it looking at Blake at the 2014 edition of the Met Gala. This time around, the theme was "White Tie & Decoration" for which the actress went all-out with the most glamorous of hairstyles, cascading Hollywood waves. This seems to be something of a staple red carpet look for Blake, and with good reason!
To style: Part your hair on your favorite side then use a medium-barrel curling iron to make waves down the lower 2/3 or 3/4 of your hair. Work in large sections then take a section from the side of your part with less hair and roll it back toward your ear. Secure with a bobby pin and spray the whole style with Bold Control Hairspray to finish.
Can you pick a favorite?
