Ballerina buns, whether pinned low or high, are at once glamorous, chic and very practical. It also happens to be an updo that is very easy to achieve with a sleek straight hair texture, using the right products and few bobby pins! Whether you have a long or medium haircut, you can totally rock a ballerina bun.
Top tip – A lower bun will be easier to do with shorter hair lengths as you won't need to pin hair up that will fall out of a high bun style.

Step one: Before you start styling, brush your hair through and gently work out any knots or tangles. This will make the following steps even easier!
Step two: Apply Iron Straight Heatspray evenly from roots to ends before straightening your hair with a flat iron. This will protect your locks against heat damage (always, ALWAYS use a heat protectant!) and promote a smooth, sleek texture.
Step three: Finger-comb your hair and apply Strand-Smoother Serum Spray for an instantly sleek look.
Step four: Gather your hair back into a ponytail, securing tightly with a hair elastic. Use a brush to guide the hair, removing any bumps as you go.
Step five: Twist the pony into a bun shape and secure with as many bobby pins as you need. You want it to feel like it wouldn't move, even if you started doing the funky chicken on a trampoline. For extra detail, braid the pony before forming the bun.
Step six: Spray some Bold Control Hairspray into the palm of your hand and then smooth down the top and sides of your head to prevent and tame flyaways. Then, mist the style all over and you're done!
