Anyone who has ever seen Breakfast at Tiffany's can attest to the beauty and elegance of a well-coiffed 1960's beehive , especially atop Audrey Hepburn's head. The original 'It girl' hairstyle, Holly Golightly's trademark updo looks just as beautiful today as it did over 50 years ago. As vintage hairstyles go, it's a must-try!
What you need:
Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Inject Mousse
Blow-dryer
Tail comb
Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray
Bobby pins
Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray
Step one: After washing and towel-drying your hair, apply Volume Inject Mousse evenly throughout and blow-dry. Once everything is about 85% dry, flip your head upside down and finish drying. This will create extra root lift and give your hair plenty of body right from the get-go.
Step two: Leaving the front sections of hair and bangs alone (clip them out of the way if it's easier), spray the roots on the top and crown of your head with High Lift Creation Spray.
Step three: Use a comb to tease the hair you just sprayed. Working in sections, push the hair back on itself and be as gentle as possible.
Step four: Lightly smooth a little unteased hair over the top and smooth it into a half-up beehive. Secure at the back with bobby pins.
Step five: Gather the rest of your hair up into a chignon, rolling and pinning sections on top of each other in the same place you secured the beehive.
Step six: Mist generously with Bold Control Hairspray and you're done!
For a little extra glamor, clip a jeweled or metallic accessory at the back, next to the chignon.
