If you're anything like us, you probably consider your blow dryer to be a bit like your BFF: it gets the best out of you[r hair], it makes you feel like you can handle absolutely anything, and it's always there when you need it! But, are you getting the most out of your blow dryer?
Check out the tips below to find out how you can improve your blowouts, and your relationship with your dryer!
1/ Pay attention to the nozzle
When drying your hair, make sure the nozzle is always pointing downwards for the smoothest results. The concentrator attachment also helps to minimize frizz, so don't just leave it in the box!
2/ Section your hair
Dividing your hair into sections will make it easier to work through your hair methodically for a polished and uniform result. Some people find it easiest to work in thirds - top, middle and nape - while others prefer quadrants - dividing the hair vertically into quarters.
3/ Less (heat) is more
Just because your blow dryer can produce 450° heat, doesn't mean your hair actually requires it to. Most of the time, a medium heat or less will get the job done with a significantly lower chance of frazzling your strands. Whatever temperature you use, however, make sure you apply a heat protectant like Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Blow Out Heatspray to prevent unnecessary damage.
4/ Embrace velcro rollers
To get a high-volume look fast, put your hair in velcro rollers while it's still damp. Rolling the hair back toward the crown of your head, use three large rollers in the center, then three on each side. This process sections and loosely curls the hair all at once, creating a full-bodied look as quickly and easily as possible.
