If there's one hairstyle every woman should have in her arsenal, it's a great blowout that makes her look and feel amazing. While this is something you stylist can do with seemingly no effort whatsoever at the salon, you should learn how to master the perfect DIY blowout yourself so you can rock commercial-worthy hair whenever you want!
We have a few easy styling hacks to help you do just that.
1. Prepare and protect
Products are really important as they protect your strands from heat damage and while smoothing your hair to airy, flyaway-free perfection as you dry it. Start with Advanced Hairstyle BLOW DRY IT Quick Dry Primer Spray to remove most of the excess moisture, then apply Advanced Hairstyle BLOW DRY IT Thermal Smoother Cream before completing the blowout.
2. Start without a brush
After applying Quick Dry Primer Spray, rough-dry your hair without a brush until it's approximately 80% dry. To speed up the drying process, flip your head upside down and blast the hair underneath to dry the lower layers - they tend to dry the slowest.
3. Finish with a round brush
If you've been having trouble getting to grips with a round brush, it could be because you're using it for the entirety of your blowout. As we mentioned above, you don't really need to use one until your hair is only very slightly damp.
4. Start at the top
When using a round brush, start with the hair on top and work your way down. You'll probably find that this won't make your arms ache as much as starting at the bottom!
5. Hairspray
To prevent humidity from ruining all your good work, seal your finished blowout against the elements with a generous amount of Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray. This will keep frizz at bay and tack down any flyaways.
